Australia's Greatest Marathon Swimmers

I was thinking the other day about some of Australia's greatest Marathon feats,swims . Records etc.....
So I invite people's thoughts and nominations as to who they believe to be Australia's top 2 male and female swimming efforts . Here are my selections and why
Male :- Des Renford  the pioneer of Australian distance swimming and former King Of The Channel
Trent Grimsly :- Who now holds the world record for the English Channel solo
Female :- Susie Maroney for her double English Channel world record which has stood for over 20 years and will be around for many more years and her Cuba to USA swim ( shark cage assisted)
Penny Palfrey :- She has the 2 longest unassisted ocean swims to date ( the Cayman Island swim and
Cuba to USA although she did not Complete the swim it was still the longest ocean swim ever)
Happy to hear your thoughts and Black Ice has some records of our own worth mentioning with
Ollie Wilkinsons world record around Manhattan Island and Yvonne Mooyman  who was the first
Female to swim the English Channel, the Cook Strait and Rottnest Island and true to Black Ice rules
I will not publish any swimmers that wore a wetsuit  as they simply do not comply with open water
Swimming rules . Each year there is a swimming website that asks for ten nominations for male and female swimmer of the year and they gave to some guy that wears a wetsuit in all his swims . I might as well turn up to the start of the Tour De France on my motorbike or climb Mt Everast on my Helicopter or sail Sydney to Hobart in my speed boat or catch the bus when I run the London Marathon
